for Dinner

Our answer to: but what if you wanted to try even more things? A series of 10 small bites inspired by British High Tea, Spanish tapas, and Chinese dimsum.
Highlights included a menchi katsu sando (with a homemade milk bread!), grapefruit buttercream bon bons (served on a mirror!), and a shawarma inspired siu mai.

A dinner so popular we had to repeat the theme! Amidst the forest glow of the decor, dinners nibbled on courses inspired by tender, cozy moments from his films. For example, shakshuka inspired by Calcifer’s fiery spirit and iconic bacon and eggs breakfast featuring Cantonese flavors and roast pork belly.

Our first event in our new Oakland home! Thinking about Sunday family dinners and old school red sauce joints, we made Californian riffs on the classics: meatballs and polenta, lasagna, italian pizza shop salad, and a fruit basket!
DQ 1-Year Anniversary Dinner

A celebration of Deluxe Queer’s first year of serving dinners and vibes… like a extra crazy kid’s birthday party. Lo Hei (a Singaporean Lunar New Year salad) gets tossed together as we wish for good things for the coming year, alongside seared duck with a funky mole, and the most gobsmacking dessert trio featuring of the greatest hits of the year, as well as a new invention.
